Nike: Jesus Shoes

Nike: Jesus Shoes at $3000?

Nike recreated Jesus Shoes

Yep, $3000 for a pair of “Jesus Shoes” that allows you to walk on water and get a blessing from a priest. Sounds crazy? Read on!

  • The white Air Max 97s were redesigned by Brooklyn-based creative label MSCHF
  • It injected colored holy water sourced from the Jordan River into the see-through inflated sections on the sole of the shoe
  • Each of the pairs of the limited edition shoes were also blessed by a priest, feature a bible verse on the design, and have frankincense-scented soles
  • MSCHF said that it wanted to use the religious shoe design as a way of mocking society’s ‘absurd collaboration culture’
  • The brand shared that it made less than 24 pairs of the shoes, however there are no plans to release any more in the future, despite their popularity
  • Nike did not have any input or involvement in the design, with MSCHF’s head of commerce Daniel Greenberg revealing they bought the shoes at retail value

Jesus Walked On Water

In the bible,

25 Around four o’clock in the morning, he came toward them, walking on the lake! 26 When the talmidim (Disciples) saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost!” they said and screamed with fear. 27 But at once Yeshua (Jesus) spoke to them. “Courage,” he said, “it is I. Stop being afraid.”

Power To Walk on Water?

The so-called “godly” shoes were made by Brooklyn-based product design company MSCHF, which created about two dozen of the kicks as a way of trolling “collab culture,” its head of commerce Daniel Greenberg says.

Nike Jesus Shoes with red sole for a "blessing" from the Catholic church

New York based Jewish design firm, MSCHF creates a Roman Catholic version of a pair of Nikes that appears to be for good luck. According to the news report, the shoes gives you the people power to ‘walk on water’ so to speak and because these shoes reportedly were blessed by a priest and has a red insole in reference to the red Papal shoes that were traditionally worn by Vatican leaders supposedly brings good luck which explains why they sold out so fast.

Conclusion: In my opinion I think it is sad that a Jewish company would design a shoe supporting the Roman Catholic Church, the very institution that crucified Yeshua at the request of the Jewish religious people.
And to create a shoe lined in red for good luck doesn’t make it better.
